The 90 quattro front struts

Hi all.
I have been told that it is possible to exchange the 4kq struts to a 90 
quattro struts.  I also have been told that the CV joints will have to be 
changed.  
The questions I have are:
1. Are the bearings for both struts the same?
2. Are the hubs for both struts the same?
3. If not are they interchangeble, i.e. to save the search for different 
CV joints.
4. Will the shocks for 4kq fit the 90 struts?
5. Will the springs for 4kq fit the 90 struts?
6. Would it be harder to modify the 5kt struts to fit the 4kq a la TQC?
(would probably involve welding in the 4kq spring seats).
7. Would the 4kq CV joints fit the 5kt hubs?

I have been getting different answers and before I go and buy some parts 
I want to make sure that it is possible and not to gothrough the headache 
of returning unwanted parts.
I wish I had a microfushe like the dealer has.
