RE: Fuel Pump Bees

Those bees in your car are indeed the fuel pump. According to others on
the list that I asked about the same problem...your fuel pump is slowly
retiring...but it could be some time before she goes. Some folks have gone
to the lengths of buying one and driving around with it "just in case" it
finally quits. I've been told that it -will- quit. The question is,
tomorrow? next week? two years from now? Yours sounds worse than mine, but
mine can buzz very loudly after some high speed runs when it's hot. With a
full (read insulated) trunk, and 95 degree heat it can become quite
pronounced. Once mine cools down, it quiets down. The loudest I ever
heard was after a 70 minute, 119 mile drive through Montana's Big Open on
Route 200....half an hour rest...and no more buzz.
My advice is to get a AAA-Plus membership...Now!
