ABS light

Ok, after getting advise from several people regarding my "ABS
on" light on problem, I received the "white caps" from Carlsen and
pulled out the sensors. I can look into the holes where the sensors
go and there isn't anything that resemble the caps inside the
hole. (don't know if there should be). Also, the caps are a lot
smaller than the depth sensor so I can't figure out how they could
possibly work. They're too small to fit on the ends of the sensor
and will just bounce around if I put them in the hole. Any 
ideas ? Did I get the wrong ones ?  Thanks to all...

P.S. This problem stemmed from me pulling the sensors in order
to replace struts.
