... aren't they talking about new cars?  I don't think that Audi offers an 
I5T in their current product line.  The A4 w/1.8T is about the sportiest 
they have (short of an A8 perhaps).  I got a copy of the IntelliChoice 
book a few years ago ... cheap on the KTEH (PBS) auction.  I think that 
you are correct, the analysis is only for bean counters ... it does not 
rate any other merits such as safety, sportiness, etc.  I'll bet the 
Audis score highly because of the low service costs for the first few
years ... in the issue I have the Audi's ratings were reduced due to the 
pitiful resale value ...
