this topic's been on both lists lately...
there's a story i once heard of a guy in the Puget Sound area. he allegedly
had 100+ tickets in the last few years. don't know all the details, but the
basics are he fights each ticket, almost always getting off. his only risk
is if he gets more than 2 or 3 in a year that stick, then his license is at
risk. howz that? this doesn't work for everyone: he's self insured, both
collision/comp _and_ liability. he's posted a $50,000 bond with Washington
state, which gets him past the mandatory liability law.
