RE: Timing Belt Replacement

450 pounds at 1 foot yields 450 ft-lbs. Put a pipe on a breaker bar, for
a lever arm of, oh, let's say 4 and a half feet. Put 100 lbs on the end,
you suddenly end up with 450 ft-lb.

We have been complaining about students being able to afford what we
couldn't while we were kids (uphill both ways, thru a foot of snow,
barefoot, carrying my sister on my back, etc.), but three kindergarten
students would make 450 ft-lbs on the end of a pipe on my breaker bar.
The last time I checked, my 3 year old son was waving my car keys and
demanding to drive, but I am still able to veto *that* idea.

*I*, OTOH, seem to be rapidly approaching the 450 pound mark, with the
help of my wife's excellent cooking, and the appearance of some of Sam
Adams finest in my hand in front of the teevee.
