Re[2]: temp. control?!



     Try this simple procedure before replacing any parts:  open your hood 
     and CAREFULLY lift the plastic housing located right under the 
     windshield (its main purpose is to protect the wiper motors); then 
     remove any debris collected around the air vents, etc.  If this 
     doesn't solve the problem, then you may need to resort to some other 
     remedy.

The tiny electric motor in the A/C programmer. It has worn its plastic 
gear and got stuck.
In my old 5000s ot was worse: it got stuck in the coldest position.
