That simple philosophy is now only anecdotally taught here in the
Colonies, unfortunately. The roadway manners of the masses are usually;
everyone for himself and to hell with other users. This anarchy
ususally means that one needs to shift lanes frequently (signalled) and
pick one's path smoothly through traffic. One benefit of such behavior
is that it hones decisionmaking and driver behavior forecasting skills.
