RE: Dash lights.
I had similar funnies on my 1989 90. Starting suddenly one day, all the
instruments in the pod behind the wheel stayed on their zero pegs. The
three instruments down low continued to work, as did the lights for the
non-functioning instruments. It was a bummer. I kept running out of gas.
No gas gauge, no odometer. Got a speeding ticket too, even with my
Passport barking at me. No speedo, no tach, no cars nearby to match
speeds with, Audi smoothness made my conservative guess at the limit 10
mph high. Turned out to be a bad ground on the back of the fuse box. The
local dealer found and fixed the ground for $25, couldn't help with the
ticket. HTH.
