...I can believe that, all I would want it for is for the times that the
transmission decides to use a lower gear than necessary like:
changes down at 60mph when gently accelerating
refuses to change up at 60mph on a very gentle uphill
refuses to change up at 40mph on a not so gentle uphill where
the next gear would definitely be more appropriate - it
doesn't do this if I hadn't accelerated from a standstill just
before the hill.
This is on the 1.8T. In all cases, the transmission ignores the lower
RPM torque of the turbo engine.
