<All> Brake Piston Tool FOUND!!
For those of you dealing with the need to screw in the rear pistons
on japanese and german-made brakes....common to the Datsun/Nissan
Z-cars, and to the Audi cars. (Some Audis may use a hex wrench to
turn in the piston, but my 1990 200 does not- it has two slots in the
piston surface.)
Last night, I found that Lisle Corp. makes a special tool, #28300,
specifically for screwing back in those rear pistons. It costs about
$12 and is VERY, VERY MUCH worth the money. Trust me, if you're
about to do a brake job, you NEED this. Lisle Tools are available at
most parts stores - they're the ones on the red and white cards.
This is a really creative design. It's a hollow cube....each side of
the cube has a different configuration of studs sticking out - there are
sides to fit pistons with two, three and four slots in the surface.
On each side between the studs is a 3/8" socket recess for a ratchet
wrench extension. A VERY clever design.
Check this out!
