Re: Q events

In a message dated 97-02-17 12:54:25 EST, you write:

I am..... For the most part their events are overpriced, under
 instructed.

Your events are the ONLY reasonably priced QC events....
   >> This is hardly the "only" one. I won't defend qclub USA, if there is
better, point us the way... I personally went to several different marque
events in the last few years, and found the prices about 75USD high to qclub,
and though instruction was not the best in open track, it was the best in
classroom and exercise instruction. This is an old and pretty well hacked
subject line. There was some talk of EF putting on an event. I wholy
encourage it, have yet to see it. Me, I just like to get to the track, 75.00
doesn't break my bank account, and there is GOOD instruction available at
just about any event, finding it isn't always easy. I personally find that
getting involved in the logistics of event programming gets me exactly what I
don't want, which is very little track time. For that, I'll pay the penalty
of 75USD, and am always willing to help with the "good" instruction part.
 And always have a blast!

The key here is to get YOUR car to a track, and learn where the limits of the
driver and the car are.... It could save your life someday, for that a
squabble over a coupla bux is just silly. There are some of us that look at
this more closely than others, cuz our track exposure is high without
"clubbing"... Most of the events allow the splitting of instruction (ie send
the wife to the school, you track drive sunday, 1 price) and track, or just
track time, and taking advantage of that is easy.

The nicest thing about the qclub, is the quattro content is one of the
highest of the marque events. For that, you get to meet listers and qclub
members, see cars, enjoy some commiserating on the rings, and generally have
a great time, politics aside. Everyone should do one, form their own
opinion. At least go watch and talk to some folks, it's better than keyboard
driving anyday.
