Airduct - '86 5KCSTQ

All:

Recently ordered and received a new air duct from Linda@Carlson. I
define airduct as the rubber piece that has waffle like indents sitting
on top of the fuel distributor/air box.

My question is are there any tricks to removing/replacing. There is
a lot of stuff (fuel lines) running pretty tight above it and I don't
want to hose it up. Also, how concerned should I be about cleanliness
of this area before taking things apart?

TIA,
