Re: Handbrake not working - calipers out - rear brake out??

I just wanted to share my experience here. I too thought that I had
sticky (not stuck) rear brake calipers. Whenever I set the Parking
Brake I had to reach under the car and give the brake cable a tug and
the brake released. Couple of weeks ago I set the P-brake and the
cable broke. Ordered new cables (Linda@Carlson) for both sides replaced
'em and voila, no more sticky caliper.
What had happened is that the inside of the sheathed/protected brake
cable had rusted and the friction would cause it to lock up. The tug
was enough to let it slide.
Don't know if it applies here but something to look at.
