Re: 1986 4000csq questions and such
on the 4k series cars:
in 84' and 85', ALL quattros were "S". I can't ever remember seeing a 4k
non-q from these years that WASN'T an "S", so I am going to assume that
ALL front drivers were "S" as well.
in 86' and 87': ALL quattro's were "CS". There definatly was an "S" and a
"CS" front driver in these years. I am not positive, but I think that the
"CS" was the "loaded" version of the "S" (i.e. AC, AM/FM cassette, etc)
On the 5k series cars:
not my strong area, but I know that on the later cars (the ones without
the quad lights), there was definatly a "S" quattro and a "CS" quattro.
the "CS" being the turbo version. The "S" quattro having the 4.11's, but
no turbo.
in 89' they switched to the 100/200 designations. 100Q being the
replacement for the "s" (non turbo) and 200 being the replacement for the
"CS".
