Re: 86 Coupe Computer Glitches

I could use a course and a few questions answered myself.

My digital dash's MPG comp. is figuring to what I now_think_is
exactly_HALF of the correct MPG. It presently reads something around
11.8 MPG - I used to get anywhere in the 20/25 range, so there's my
logic. Is there a way to multiply it by 2, or is it adjustable to plus
10 MPG?

New from dealer is I believe around $900! . . . . prolly not that hard
to get.

No, not mine anyway.

Expect it to be solid for another 82K at least. I have 167K on mine and
counting. Granted I need a bunch of items, but the chassis and overall
feel is undeniably and unbelievably SOLID! I could not imagine beating
on any car like I've beaten on the Coupe and have it remain free of
rattles and drivetrain trouble.
I agree - the rear axle is not that disappointing - I drive my girl's
'95 Eclipse regularly and in many situations don't feel as planted with
her rear independent suspension, even though that's what it is designed
to do. It has benefits, but overall my 11 yr. old Audi is a better
handling car, IMHO of course.
TIA! Allan
