Actually, they are plastic hoses in braided stainless steel stockings.
Plastic eventually cracks and the hose starts weeping oil. I had this
several mos ago, was fortunate to catch it before the disaster happened.
You have two alternatives:
1. An OEM hose. I paid $120 at a dealer, coz it was an emergency.
2. Do-it-yourself option from Aeroquip parts. Without a doubt you'll pay
only about 1/4 of the OEM price.
