Ahh.  I think I remember how that stereo removal works.  This comment has
stimulated the cob webs in my brain.  If you remove the AC/Stereo/gearshift
panel you have four screws to remove the head unit.  I have a manual
transmission so I am not sure where the screws are for an automatic, but, I
imagine you can figure out how to remove this panel.  It is around 6-8
screws if I remember correctly, all in plain view.  The only tricky screws
are found by removing the ash tray and there are 2 more screws in there.
