Checked for cold solder joints, didn't find any, nothing burnt, busted or
 otherwise obvious. 
 Any help??

Mike, check again carefully for bad solder joints at the solonoids/PCB. My
mechanic used a loupe to see them. Bunch of them cracked, and the controller
just goes loopy! Now I just need the motor...
