I wonder why Audi didn't sue.  It almost makes one think there would be
something they wouldn't want to come out in discovery... think about it.

Then there is the 86 5kS AT Wagon I had which had a bad bomb/pressure
relief valve.  The symptom was as follows: start engine; start to move;
hit brakes;  BRAKE PEDAL FALLS ALMOST ALL THE WAY TO THE FLOOR WITH
NO EFFECT!!!  Stomping VERY hard would stop the car, but with a high
idle, I don't know.  A few seconds later, all would be fine, brakes
acting normally.  It wasn't the brake master cylinder - that was replaced.
Normally, a failed bomb will cause a hard brake pedal.  Not in this case.
Now this ISN'T the same as the Unintended Acceleration reports - I agree
with the Auto press and government that the reported incidents were
due to hitting the accelerator rather than the brakes.  However,
it's close enough that Audi (IMO) wouldn't win a lawsuit against CBS.
