Replacing speakers on your '93?

I've been waiting for this a long time - a quattro-lister replacing 
speakers on a 93-ish 90?  Your duty from quattro-heaven is to provide us 
with a detailed, play-by-play description.

Actually, i'm more interested in the rear speakers as my '94's is 
suffering from...a bad solder?, broken wire?....it keeps going on and 
off over bumps and a flat-handed bang once in a while.  Probably would 
like to replace speaker with better pair.  Any suggestions?
