WTB 5000T ECU Computer, ign coil

Scott,

I assume you are using the 86-88 5000T parts in your 4000 project.

Before you codemn the ECU and the ignition coil make sure the wiring
between the ECU pin 2 and the ignition coil transistor driver ground
(i.e. return path) are connected. Some later 200TQ vehicles use local
grounds at
the ECU and one back at the ignition coil driver, while the 86-88 5000T
connect the two together and then ground the whole thing at the ignition
coil
transistor driver.

You can also ground pin 2 on the ECU locally to see if the car functions.

I have a MAC11 ECU that I can part with if you determine the ECU is
actually defective.
I may be able to repair yours for you as well. The part number you listed
for the
MAC11 should be a 035 905 383T and this part number is used on both
the MAC11B and MAC11C ECU's. Similar ECU hardware but
with slightly different EPROM code. HTH
