Knock Sensor Part number 5000TQ

Mike,

The original part number for the single knock sensor MC motor used in
the 86-88 5000TQ was 035 905 377B (red connector).

This part was updated  as mentioned in a service bulletin to a 
034 905 377F (black connector) I believe they changed the part to have
Gold plated connector pins. They also recommend replacing the harness
connector pins with gold plated ones. These pins are available for a couple 
of
bucks from the dealer. 

I replaced one of the knock sensors in my later dual knock sensor
MC 89 200TQ engine last year. The new knock sensor part numbers
were 054 905 377C and 054 905 377D. I also changed out these connector 
pins as recommended. If you buy a new knock sensor, I would check with the 
dealer
to verify these numbers have not been superceded.
