Coupe GT sales 1981-87

Does anyone have data on the number of GT's sold in the US-Canada during
the period of 1981-87, giving a break down by year. I'm guessing that only
3500 Coupes were sold in 1982. Was there a 1981 model sold in the US. I
seem to recall that the first model year in Canada for the Coupe was 1982.
In the lituature provided by Audi it was designated as a GT Coupe although
it was not badged a GT. I also recall that in 1981 there was a coupe, but
it did not have the S1 body style, but rather a two door version of a 4000
called a 5+5. Perhaps this has been discussed before.
