Come take a look at the head, pistons, and connecting rods I have out
of an 86 Coupe
GT, where the timing belt broke at 6300 rpms, theres enough metal
chunks to make a
nice salad!

Turning by hand and mass turning under high speed, are extremely
different aspects to consider!  

Try running at say, 350mph, and have your shoe come off!  Less
dramatic if you are walking!
