stuckup studs?

Some genius decided at some point in time to install a
few studs in my hubs and use lug nuts (14x1.5) instead of
the typical wheel bolts. I've gotten off all but two of them,
on the right rear hub.

The studs have, or rather, had, an opening for a hex hey on
the front of them, but that stripped out quickly.
Vise grips didn't do it, even after heating them.

Possible solutions, in most logical order:

- reverse thread nut, with heat and a large breaker
- some other tool I am overlooking
- drill it out and retap the holes to clean them
- weld a bolt to the end of the stud and remove with a wrench
- remove hub from bearing, take to machine shop.

Anything I'm overlooking? I'd prefer not to have to put
everything back together and take it to a shop as I'm
in the middle of doing the rear brakes
