stuckup studs? -Reply



Dan, if you have any threads left, put two nuts on the stud and tighten them
solidly and try to unscrew the inner one.  Doing this you have effectively
'welded a nut' onto the stud.  Use good penetrating oil, let soak.  Best I've
found is called 'Kroil' by Kano Industries in Nashville.

If all threads are gone, a possibility with vice grips, use penetrating oil and
and a pipe wrench.  Actually two pipe wrenches 180 deg from each other is less
likely to bend said stud.
