An Open Letter: Insufferable Q-list Abuse

This is an open letter to the entire Q-list...ummm...except for Charles
Schwartz.

Frankly, I must apologize for him, as, in my firm opinion, he abused
the use of the Quattro List.

I privately flamed Charles *hard* because he chose to bait me with his
own private email (available upon request). I didn't have a problem with
that, since it was private. I DO NOT use the list for my personal issues.
I hoped to flame Charles Schwartz into submission, so maybe he would stop
wasting my time. A new tactic for me, as I am not inthe habit of making
people put Nomex on.

But, some of you may have noticed, I am often the first person to jump
down someone's throat if they use this list for *unecessary* flaming. I
hate it when someone cops an unprovoked attitude. My life
has enough angst without seeing more posted to over 1000 people
I go to for answers about a car I love. Simply the wrong forum.
Obviously, I feel differently about a provoked flame.

If you go to the archives and search by my name, you will find me
interested in the *cars*, not one-upmanship or abuse. I consider you
all (well, almost all, as of today) respected peers who I just
happened to have have never met. I look forward to the opinions and
especially the information about Audis on this list. I do NOT like people
wasting time (and each other) over drivel. My 'record' will bear this out
(jeez, sounds like I'm running for office).

Anyway, again, I am sorry that Charles Schwartz inappropriately saw fit
to share my private email to him with the list in an attempt to embarrass
me. Mine was a genuine response (yes, I own up to every word--except but
that about being a serial killer, that's all Mr. Charles Schwartz).

I do not care what Charles Schwartz thinks of me, but I do care what the
rest of you think. I apologize if my email put any profanity in front of
any of your children or if it offended any of you personally. Actually,
it is up to Charles Schwartz to apologize for that, but I did write it,
so I will be the bigger man and I hope that language doesn't color your
perception of me as a responsible and *appreciative* Q-List user.

Dan, I especially aplogize to you. Maintaining this list must be enough
of a task without having to deal with this.

Again folks, sorry you had to witness this sorry spectacle.
