Al,

What do you think lubricates the gears and bearings of almost
every slushbox car.... all through summer..... 

And guess what temperature THAT fluid runs, after being sent
through the "cooler" which is really part of the engine
coolant radiator. ( .... on a warm sunny day in Arizona, when
pulling a trailer, A/C on full cool, "preheating" the air on its
way to the main coolant radiator.... )

Then again, lots of slushboxes usually don't last over 100k !!!
