Safe cars

I can attest to the fact that Audis are extremely safe cars. As a matter
of fact, I was thinking of trying to sell my car to AoA for marketing
purposes. I'd have to say that I'm not sure Audis are inherently safer
than *any* other car on the road, but it's a fact that the old style A6
and A4 just got the highest and 2nd highest scores in European crash
tests (sorry, don't remember which country/agency/whatever performed the
tests). That, combined with the active safety of quattro, really does
make for a close to unbeatable combination.

Subject: Volvos 'n Audis

[snip]

On a related subject, I've always wondered why the popular press only
mentions 2 brands, V*lvo and M-B, when they talk about the "safest cars
in
the world." I know they both make wonderfully safe cars, but Audis have

consistently tested as well as, or *better* than, any other car on the
road. Why does the press always forget that when talking about the
safest
cars? For that matter, why doesn't Audi make a bigger deal of it? Not
that I'd want to blow the lid off our little secret.... :) Just
curious.
