BTW I have a 1989 200qw and its towing capability is 2000 lbs.  This figure
comes from the owners manual.  Also, if you refer to the parts microfiche for
this car you will see that there were optional larger rear disks available.
 I presume this was for those that needed additional braking capabilities due
to towing requirements.
