10V I-5s don't rev

My 10V I-5s all rev up to the rev limiter (6500?).  I'll admit that they 
don't rev as easily as my VW 1.6i engine did, and they sound more strained, 
but they are still producing their peak power at close on 6000rpm.

Maybe UK versions are different from US versions?
