BTCC-4wd or 2wd?

In a recent article from Autosport,  Dr. Wolfgang Ullrich(Head of Audi
Sport) was 
interviewed and asked a question concerning the mystery,2wd race car.

Q."On the early front-wheel-drive testing, despite two
    Pirro crashes.  Will it race this year?"(2wd car)

A. Dr Ullrich-" I dont want to say "no" and I dont want to say "yes". 
It is
not an easy decision to use it this year, because if one driver
switches, the rules
dont allow him to switch back.  If you find out that , under racing
conditions, the car
is not as good as you think, then the driver has to suffer in a car
which
is not suppose to race until next year"
