Gas mileage

I've got an 2144cc I5 in my '82 100.  When it was running properly, I was
getting at least 28mpg.  Now it is getting about 20, but now it ain't
running right.

This is generally 16 mile journeys to and from Uni, and other short trips,
so not really highway either.  It is not particularly aerodynamic (boxy
type), or light.
