Hey...I was recently witness to a dyno run of a bunch of cars.  One of them,
a G60 supercharged GTi, was running a stock airbox and got 166 hp at the
front wheels.  As a test, he installed a ABD Q-flow (a K&N cone filter) on
the car.  Net result?  The GTI LOST 12 hp, and more torque.  That's right,
and it was repeated to ensure the accuracy.  2nd time, the car lost 11 hp.
 After this was performed, a Neuspeed tuned VR6 Corrado mounted the dyno.
 Although the engine was not up to speed, the factory airbox was installed
over the K&N cone filter it had started with.  The factory airbox gained a
few hp and more torque.  The difference between the stock airbox and the cone
filter....SOUND.  the cone filters are obnoxiously loud, with obviously no
results.  Stick with the stock boxes...it'll do your Audi good...
