While going through mail-order (junk) catalogs, I came upon Frontgate.
Inside, they're advertising what appears to be Escort separates. From the
description, the functionality is the same as the current 4600/Solo (the
bands, the LEDs, VG2, and the laser). What makes it different is that the
detection unit (4.75"x6"x1.5") is separate from the display unit
(3"x2"x0.5"). The whole schubam is connected by one heavy-duty-looking
cable. The price they have listed is $450.
