No Subject

  My beloved 1989, 80 Quattro has a very noisy fuel pump. I have only 
owned the car since 113k, and it now has 118k on it. The noise is a high 
pitched whine, almost sounding as if the pump is working too hard. The 
fuel filter has been replaced so I know there was no clotting there. 
Anyone have any ideas as to what is causing this?

*Also* The sunroof is very sluggish. I have tried cleaning and re-lubing 
the rails to little avail. Aside from these minor annoyances the car is a 
pleasure to own and drive.
