Actually, I do have a bit of experience in both.
A friend who is a long-time Audi driver was given an STS (300HP, FWD, AT)
as a company car (he's got a good job, eh?).   He summed it up nicely.

Says it's great -- in straight lines.  
Misses the twisties as seen from the drivers seat of his quattro.  
They are totally different cars that appeal to people with different
priority sets.  

Personally, I think the Caddy is fast, but ugly and cumbersome.
I think the S4/S6 is the sexiest sedan on the road today.

There's no accounting for taste, as they say.
