It's around $55/hour in the California Bay Area...  OTOH, insurance
co's will pay the shop of your choice.  A reputable/experienced shop
should be able to negotiate with the insurance on your behalf.  But if
you were rear-ended, a call to the adjuster saying that you think to
check with the chiropractor seen on late night TV -- maybe your spine got
"out of alignment" in the collision, usually leads to a quick
settlement  ...
