Re: Audi Horn(better late...err maybe not-BIG mistake)
Just want to say 'Hi' to all the nice listers out there. :-)
And make two corrections to my last post. First, I forgot to add an
important note on the steering wheel/horn subject. See below. Also,
there is one tiny other thing.... I want to stop all future posts on my
'rump receptor' line BEFORE they start! I was refering, in an indirect
way, to what Hurley and Hans felt - that 'seat of their pants' feeling.
Alright, I know, my airbox sensations and their 'seat of their pants'
driving technique are two separate things, but bear with me, I'm trying
to get out of a major 'foot in the mouth', or rather an 'ax to the
fingers' blunder. Well, what I feel due to my modified and K&N-fitted
airbox are vibrations(ya know...periodic motions of the particles of an
elastic body or medium in alternately opposite directions from the
position of equilibrium when that equilibrium has been disturbed)
transfered from the engine, through the frame/etc., and to my driver's
seat. That's it. So PLEASE no comments from the peanut gallery,
where-ever that may be.
Be nice.... remember, it's Easter!

I forgot to mention that, as Eric knows, I recently took my column
apart and then used vice-grips to hold the two intersecting column
pieces together while losing battle after battle with the spring
retaining washers. Once I finally won the war, there was some play at
the joint, but not much. I suggest putting a spark plug socket over the
spring retaining clips/washers and HAMMERING away as long as the joint
below is clamped. That might solve problem.
Good Luck.
Happy Easter.
