Why did you put synthetic in your new, (rebuilt) engine?....... switch to
dino (15W40) ASAP and don't change your oil too often, 3 to 5K no less.....
If you were to use dino oil to begin with, you might have avoided your
present "high" consumption of oil... BTW, it is true that Audi says 1Qt per
1K  OK,
