Test Drive S4

OK, now I'm sure I shouldn't settle for just any old '93 100.  I really
need an S4.  Guy wants $25k but it has 82k miles on it.  Loved the
handling, loved the brakes, loved the ride (just the right kind
of firmness).  Was disappointed at the power.  Didn't seem
like a mid 6's 0-60.  But I wasn't going to dump the clutch at
4 grand.

Does this price seem out of line?  Called up the guy's dealer to 
verify service history.  Talked to the service desk.  First guy
didn't know what an S4 was.  Second guy admitted he didn't know
much about Audis.  Finally got to talk to a technician but he
didn't seem in sync either.  And they won't give service info
to anyone other than the owner.

I asked them what they recommended with regard to looking over
the vehicle.  They said they could do a 'safety check'.  Sounded
a bit milk toast.  They said they could do all the techie stuff,
leak down, compression.  Ball's in my court.  What should I ask
them to do?
