When looking for a car last June, I test drove a '93 S4 which seemed
like a stone compared to my Ned-ized '89 200Q, which went to only 1.8
bar MAP.
The V8 also seemed a bit sluggish, although I knew the car should have
good torque. No smoke out the back end, was a one-owner car, had been
serviced at the dealer where I bought it. For the couple-hunded-mile
drive home in the V8, I noticed improvement-- had filled the tank w/
Mobil premium, relatively high detergent. Followed by a bottle of
Techron for each of next two fillups, then new plugs and air filter, and
ever since the car has responded as I knew it should.
No guarantees here, but sometimes it's the simple (and $cheap) things...
