Re Drilling Brake rotors
I would advise against the idea, unless you are fully qualified and
understand the metallurgy and vehicle dynamics associated with
braking systems and design!
The drilled rotors need to be heat normalized, balanced, and
specially drilled with exact hole size and placement, for a given
application. Or else "disaster" may strike one day very "unexpected"
like while your driving!
Improper drilling your own rotors will produce "stress cracks"
through out the rotor and can cause it to disintegrate rather quickly
when you need it the most!
Seen happen before! Plus its against federal law to "unsafely modify
vehicle braking systems or components operating on public roads and
highways" That why racers have them!
Get in an accident an let the insurance investigator find your
homemade
drilled brake rotor was the cause! You will owe allot of money!
