Re: quattro-digest V4 #602 window regulator replacement
I too had the passenger side rear door window motor assembly freeze up on
me. A used assembly was installed and window did work but slowly. I then
liberally squirted (use simple oil can squriter) some automatic
transmission fluid down the track that the window guide runs up and dowm
. Next, I Repeatedly operated the window - giving some hand
assist - intially untill finally it was acceptable although not comparable
to other windows. While I have had problems in the past with the 5000
windows
freezing, this need to lubricte the track was a new experience.
