EIP is planning to launch into a turbo system for the 2.8, 30v, in June or
so, I was told. Rich (as would I) is figuring more of a HP increase for
the 30v 2.8 than for the 12v 2.8, which already gets a 200HP increase from
his system. Thus, it seems that for the new 2.8 with the EIP turbo (when
developed), one could expect 400+ HP, easily. And the torque curve should
blow away even the (ultimate) Stage VI 1.8T @ 420HP. Thus, I agree that
the 2.8, 30v has more potential. And why shouldn't it, if turbo-charged?
Same 5 valve technology with 56% increase in displacement over the 1.8L.
So, who will be the first to fork over an additional $6k for a 400+hp
*streetable* A4? That's in a league with the 911 turbo and faster than
most Ferrari's!
