RE: Exactly my concerns

I just got off the phone with a fellow q-lister, and we did discuss this
subject a bit as well. I have to admit that I am getting a bit discour-
aged by the fact that these issues have dragged on for so long ... only
heightened by the fact that the annual membership dues and event fees
are going up considerably. All that said, I find that I am still in the
camp that believes that the first action should be to try to fix what
is there rather than to go off and start something new. If that doesn't
seem to get a response ... then the discussions may open up.

I think that all q-listers that are either QCUSA members or are interes-
ted in joining the club if it can be made to be more driven to serve its
membership should take the time to write a letter expressing your con-
cerns to HQ. I personally am contemplating about contacting Audi of
America as well to see how they view QCUSA.

I know in the past this subject has led to a number of personal flame wars;
I'd like to avoid this and see a reasonable effort to try to help ourselves
out to get an Audi/quattro club that serves its members ...

It is also true that this subject is likely to create a volume of e-mail,
and I don't know what percentage of the q-list members even care about it.
I'm wondering if it would be possible to create a separate e-mail list for
discussion of audi/quattro organizations or perhaps we can collect a list
of names of those who are interested and create an e-mail alias list ...
where do we go from here?

... nearly $400 for the only official QCUSA event anywhere near where I
live!? I was hoping to go to the Virginia City Hillclimb this year ...
that cost of entry may make the AudiFest '97 my only major event for the
year! :(
