Performance Figures for 90q20v
Just thought I would share my acceration figures with the qlisters.
I was just out testing my 1990 90q20v with a G-Tech Pro meter. I just
bought the car recently and wanted to see how fast it is.
The car is completely stock, the figures are:
0-60 9.39 sec, 1/4 mile 16.69 sec, trap speed 88.9 mph, horsepower to
the wheels 143 BHP. This was based on an average of 3 runs. I did not
abuse the clutch. I probably could've reduced it by a few 10th's if I
slipped the clutch more.
I was hoping for a little more from the 0-60 figure... Car and Driver
tested a 1991 90q20v, they managed 8.2/16.3.
Now that I have baseline figures, any modifications that I make, I can
measure the change accurately.
Has any 90q20v owners done any of their own testing, if so, I would
appreciate what kind of results you got.
BTW: A G-Tech Pro is an accelerometer that suction cups to the
windshield and simply plugs into the cigarette lighter. It measures the
rate of acceleration change (g's) and calculates the speed and distance.
If anyone wants more info on this, just let me know. I have used it for
all of my vehicles and it works well.
