Re- the guy who thinks Audi engines won't stand up to racing- how come they
won every touring car championship they contended last year? Hmm... OK,
please let's not let this get into another Mustang- BMW- etc. flame war.
Besides, in his incredibly funny and well-worded riposte, Unka Bart wrote:

My $.02: Seat is now a subsidiary of VAG, and has indeed received some help
in the past from Porsche. When Seat's first non-Fiat car- the first Ibiza-
came out, they got some assistance from Porsche in engine development (if I
recall correctly, it was engine management and fuel injection). This
resulted in very unreliable cars becoming mildly unreliable, and a nasty,
rough engine becoming passable. The cars in quewstion got a 'motor system
Porsche' sticker to herald the fact, which nearly everyone thought
overdone. The blundering berk in question was talking about this.
There's only one funny thing in all this Ripp-stuff: the Q-Digest he quoted
completely was the one that included:

Errr... yes, quite. BTW, John Stevens' revenge on this guy (by publishing
his full name and address) was crude, but effective.
On another subject: I watched 'A fish called Wanda' (John Cleese, Jamie Lee
Curtis, Kevin Kline, Michael Palin- very funny stuff) on TV for the
umpteenth time last weekend- and noticed two appearances of a nice Tornado
red Coupe GT.
Bye,
Tom
