2nd Gear Grind

I believe a first ==> second grind is one of the symptoms of worn selector
forks.  Gearbox strip to fix.

There are _NO_ "minor" clutch problems on RHD quattros.  If you have to drop
the transmission, do _everything_ in there.  You don't want to have to go back
in for something trivial.  Ditto the master cylinder - it's nominally a ten-
hour job, though Martin at BR Motorsport says he can do it in five.  Trivial on
a LHD car.
